- Players are having fun with the game, as these bugs give them a sense of familiarity.
- The game was released on April 22, 2025, and is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has kept its old bugs, including an iconic voice line that wasn’t supposed to be in the game in the first place, and players are loving it. Fans of the game have applauded this, going as far as saying that they’re glad nothing has changed.
An iconic Oblivion bug — arguably more of a developer oversight — involves Tandilwe, a High Elf found in the Temple of One. After voice actress Linda Kenyon delivered the line, she quietly said, “Wait a minute. Let me do that one again,” before saying the same line once more. The remaster’s new animation even made it look like she was reading a script before doing it again.
Not just that, players have also found old glitches from the original Oblivion still working in the remastered version.
All in all, the fans are having fun with the game. The bugs, glitches and funny moments that carried over to the remastered version have given them a sense of familiarity with the game, according to IGN.
On the other hand, Oblivion’s subreddit is filled with players sharing the most cursed characters they’ve made using the game’s character creator, while others are simply posting about their experience with the game.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered was released on April 22, 2025, the same day as its reveal announcement. The game reached more than 180,000 concurrent players on Steam at its launch. It’s available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
