Switch 2 Upgrades For Mario Party and Kirby Cost More Than Breath of The Wild’s

|
- Super Mario Party Jamboree and Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star-Crossed World cost $20 to upgrade to their Switch 2 iteration.
- Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom each cost $10 respectively to upgrade.
- The price disparity is attributed to the addition of new content.
Both Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree have had their Switch 2 versions teased. For those who own the games on the original Nintendo Switch, these two titles cost an additional $20 for each one respectively to upgrade for the upcoming Switch 2.

Unlike Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom for the Switch 2, titles that cost $10 to upgrade, Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree have new expansions and content planned. This helps warrant the price disparity for Switch 2 upgrades. Zelda switch 2 titles cost $10 to upgrade.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land is bundled with Star-Crossed World, an extra game mode that features new levels. The title releases on August 28, costing $79. Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV also costs $79 – Nintendo added a new game mode to this title as well. Players “become the Superstar of the show in Jamboree TV, a game show hosted by Toad that is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch™ 2 Edition.”
Though initially delayed due to Trump’s tariff implementations, the Switch 2 preorders in the US have officially begun. The upcoming console releases on June 5, bringing improved performance and new console features.
