Nintendo requested a default judgment against YouTuber Jesse Keighin, known as Every Game Guru, after he failed to appear in court on April 18, 2025, to answer the accusation of streaming pirated and unreleased company titles.

The legal complaint, originally filed on Nov. 6, 2024, accuses Keighin of using Nintendo Switch emulators and broadcasting pirated games, some of which were unreleased titles. According to Nintendo’s legal filing, these streams allegedly happened over 50 times and involved at least 10 different games. Keighin is also accused of distributing piracy tools and sharing emulator download links via his social media accounts.

According to GameSpark, Nintendo is asking for $17,500 in damages and also wants the court to ban Keighin from promoting and using emulators, piracy tools or anything else that could compromise Nintendo’s IPs in the future.

The news is coming on the heels of the request to the California court Nintendo filed to compel Discord to reveal the person behind 2024’s major Pokémon data leak.
