Since the game’s release, Valorant has added many new agents and reworked various abilities. “More agents means more ways to combo abilities, which can sometimes overload combat more than you’d expect. And so, we’re taking a look at that,” Riot representative Anna Donlon said in their official vlog.

She continued to discuss other issues plaguing the game:

“More players means more opportunities for bad actors to challenge our original systems—things like smurfing, things like stream sniping, things like toxicity—so, we’re taking a look at that.”

The exact changes and the scope of the updates in the future were not communicated. Riot used generalized statements alongside broad claims rather than going into specific detail on how it plans on improving upon preexisting issues plaguing the game. Its overall goal, as explicitly stated in its vlog, is to continue making Valorant a place for “you to return to for the next five, 10, 15 or more years.”
