Fractured Utopias DLC is coming to Frostpunk 2 on Dec. 8, 2025, according to the official announcement published on the game’s Steam page on Oct. 31, 2025.
This expansion will bring to the title eight new skill trees and new dedicated faction hubs, along with two new narrative Tales, a new map designed on their basis, the Plague threat, and the new faction called Doomsayers.

Developed and published by 11 Bit Studios, the city-building survival video game Frostpunk 2 is playable on macOS and Windows PCs, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
Set 30 years after the events of 2018’s Frostpunk, the game tasks players with taking on the role of a leader in an alternate-history early 20th century to build and manage a city during a catastrophic, worldwide volcanic winter that almost completely destroyed human civilization, while making morally and politically controversial choices to ensure its survival.
Frostpunk 2 won the Best Music for an Indie Game award at the 2025 Game Audio Network Guild Awards, along with Best Sim/Strategy Game at The Game Awards 2024 and the Best Gameplay accolade at the 2024 Gamescom Awards.
As of the time of writing, Frostpunk 2 has a “Mostly Positive” rating on Steam with 17,867 reviews and an all-time peak of 35,533 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.
