11 Bit Studios Revenue Soars 169% as Frostpunk 2 Tops 500,000 Sales in Two Months

Game developer and publisher 11 Bit Studios declared its highest revenue to date, driven primarily by the success of Frostpunk 2, according to the company’s financial report for 2024.
According to the report company titled “11 Bit Studios boldly invests in new titles,” the company’s annual revenue in 2024 amounted to about $37.26 million showing a 168.9% increase compared to 2023.
On top of that, net profit numbers skyrocketed by 1212.6% to $1.83 million. According to 11 Bit Studios, this figure could have been higher if the company had not decided to shut down a game codenamed Project 8 at the end of the year, resulting in a $12.84 million write-off. Also there were other write-offs during 2024 as well.
The main market for 11 Bit Studios in 2024 was the US, where the company earned 82.1% of its revenue. The UK took second place with 9.8%, followed by Hong Kong with 2.12%.
Frostpunk 2, released for macOS and Windows PCs on Sept. 20, 2024, had sold 592,000 copies worldwide by Dec. 31, 2024, and generated about $18.48 million, according to the company’s financial report. These numbers don’t include copies acquired by Game Pass users. It is worth noting that Frostpunk 2 is set to be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S later in 2025.
Besides that, the first part of the Frostpunk series generated $7.6 million in revenue in 2024, showing a 22.7% increase compared to the 2023rd numbers. Also, Indika, which debuted in May 2024, brought in an additional $1.58 million for 11 Bit Studios.
