In a social media post from the game’s official account on X (formerly Twitter), CD Projekt Red said that it has taken action to ”take this fraudulent messaging down.”

“If you receive any invites to or stumble upon news of one, we kindly ask you to report the scam using the tools available to you in your email client or the social media platform you are using,” says the message from the Witcher’s dev team.

While Witcher IV is in the works, CD Projekt Red has confirmed that a remake of the 2007th debut part of the Witcher series is also in development and will be rebuilt from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5.
