The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered took 2025’s third-highest-grossing game spot in the US, a week after its release. The two games that lead the chart are Monster Hunter Wilds and Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
This information came from Circana executive director Mat Piscatella. On May 5, he published a short BlueSky post mentioning Oblivion Remastered’s feat of taking the third spot within a week of its release date.
Piscatella did not reveal the updated sales figures of both Monster Hunter Wilds and Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Earlier this week, the founder of GameDiscoverCo, Simon Carless, mentioned that Oblivion Remastered sold $105.4m in April. This is higher than the other revenue of the other nine games in the top 10 newly released games on Steam combined that month. On April 26, just six days after release, Bethesda announced that the game had reached 4 million players.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered was shadowdropped on April 22, 2025. There were already rumblings and rumors regarding its release, but no leaker or insider had the exact release date for it. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Subscribers of Game Pass can also play the game at no additional cost.
