Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Sold Faster on PlayStation 5 Compared to PC and Xbox

According to Alinea Analytics, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has sold 28% faster on PlayStation 5 compared to Steam. The game sold around 117,000 copies on PlayStation 5 six days after launch, while Steam only sold 91,200 during the same period.

“While our estimates show that just under 5 million Xbox players have checked out Indiana Jones & the Great Circle, the overwhelming majority of these came in via Game Pass,” the article read. This means that while there are a lot of players on Xbox, they didn’t necessarily contribute to the purchase of the game. Players subscribed to Game Pass can play it essentially for free.
Recently, Microsoft has been putting its games not just on Xbox and PC, but also on PlayStation. In February, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, Phil Spencer, mentioned that the company has given up on trying to convert players from other platforms. He said that he wants players to have a choice in where they play their games. Additionally, Spencer confirmed that they plan on releasing Xbox games on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was released on December 9, 2024, for the PC and Xbox Series X|S. The PlayStation 5 version followed last week, April 17, 2025. It scored a high 80s on Metacritic and reached a peak concurrent player count of 12,138 on Steam.
