Nintendo Switch 2 Titles Reportedly Releasing in Three Phases

With the Switch 2’s release looming over the horizon, news regarding future titles for the upcoming console has been trickling out. According to Insider Gaming, the Nintendo Switch 2 will have three phases of releases.
The first phase will reportedly prioritize first party games – such as Mario and Zelda. Insider Gaming speculates the first phase to occur in June. This aligns with prior Nintendo console release trends. The Nintendo DS debuted alongside Mario 64 remake and Mario Kart, while Breath of the Wild helped solidify the Nintendo Switch I’s identity during launch.
As for the second phase, the timeline is planned for late 2025, around the month of October or November. This phase will supposedly give third party titles a chance to shine. The final phase is suspected to occur during the holiday seasons – Insider Gaming did not speculate any genre specifications for this phase. The holiday season refers to a time period likely between December and early February.
Nintendo has not responded to these claims. Official news regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 will undoubtedly occur on April 2 – which is the date for the full reveal Nintendo Switch 2 direct. This reveal will provide details regarding one of the most anticipated console of the decade.
