Daigo “Daigo” Umehara mentioned in a post-match interview at Red Bull Kumite 2025 that he’s quitting streaming this year and will focus on Street Fighter 6 seriously. Daigo is considered one of the greatest fighting game players of all time and was the person behind the very famous “EVO Moment 37.”
The post-match interview in question happened right after the match between him and Noah “NoahTheProdigy” Solis at Red Bull Kumite 2025. After losing the match 3-5, Daigo was interviewed by one of the hosts of the event, Zhi.
“This year, I will quit streaming and return to Street Fighter 6 as a sport for serious competition once more,” Daigo mentioned. Before this, he talked about how NoahTheProdigy’s counterattack, speed, and movement were too fast for him.
