- HITMAN: World of Assassination Signature Edition will add outfits inspired by Mario and Luigi.
- HITMAN 3 is available on the Switch, but it’s a cloud version.
- Pre-order dates for the Switch 2 version of HITMAN: World of Assassination have not been announced yet.
IO Interactive, the developers of the Hitman franchise, announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 release of HITMAN: World of Assassination will have a signature edition that adds a sprinkle of Nintendo’s Mario and Luigi into the game.
Digital pre-orders of the game grants players access to the Signature Pack, which includes two Mario-inspired outfits, a golden wrench, and a mushroom. There’s no information on what the mushroom does.
Physical pre-orders, on the other hand, gives them access to the Signature Pack, plus something called a Quack Pack. The latter contains an outfit inspired by Luigi and a green duck. Again, just like the mushroom, the website does not clarify what the green duck does.
The website also mentions that the game is available on the Nintendo Switch via cloud streaming. This new release will run natively, which potentially means better performance and less reliance on a stable internet connection to be able to play the game smoothly.
HITMAN: World of Assassination was released in 2022. The game is a collection of HITMAN 1-3, and according to the website, it features hundreds of hours of content. It’s available on Steam, PlayStation 4 & 5, PlayStation VR 2, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-order dates for the Switch 2 version of the game have not been announced yet.
