- Ubisoft officially confirmed the existence of early-model leaks of Assassins’ Creed Shadows.

- Ubisoft is still preparing the game for its official launch on March 20.
Ubisoft officially confirmed the existence of full-game leaks of Assassin’s Creed Shadows – a much anticipated game releasing on March 20.
The leaked version supposedly contains the entire game, but reportedly lacks the quality of life improvements that the developers planned. These are updates that Ubisoft claims warranted a delay in the game’s release, catering the changes to player feedback to offer a more polished gameplay experience.
“The development team is still working on patches to prepare the experience for launch and any footage shared online does not represent the final quality of the game,” Ubisoft stated, publicly acknowledging the leak’s existence.
“Leaks are unfortunate and can diminish the excitement for players. We kindly ask you not to spoil the experience for others,” they implored.
Despite Ubisoft’s statement that the leaks are from an incomplete model, fans are already praising the game’s performance. One leaker, who supposedly played the game for over 10 hours, claims the base PS5 version has strong performance and minimal in-game bugs.
In addition to acknowledging the leak, Ubisoft stated that they have “exciting news” to share in the next couple of weeks. With Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe’s recent announcement, an update of the new title is highly anticipated.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is an upcoming triple A title slated to release on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The new title transports players to late 16th century Japan, a time period plagued by civil unrest and significant cultural changes.
