Assassin’s Creed Shadows Physical Copies Are Allegedly Being Sold Already

An Assassin’s Creed fan has allegedly gotten their hands on a physical copy of Assassin’s Creed Shadows through dubious methods. According to a picture they’ve uploaded, they bought the copy but some Redditors think otherwise.
A post on r/GamingLeaksAndRumors shined light on the situation as Reddit user Ajxtt created a short post regarding the copy somebody has obtained. Ajxtt has not mentioned what their relationship with the other person is, however, they are acting as their spokesperson. The post revealed that the game they obtained did not include the improvements added from the delays.
A few hours later, Ajxtt returned to Reddit with another update. According to him, the person who bought the early copy has played for around 10 hours and has liked most of what they’ve seen. They’ve mentioned that the polish for the first 10-11 hours was great and there were no bugs or glitches aside from an NPC who walked through the wall.
There are also a lot of mocapped cutscenes during the first three hours of the game which are “very good, almost like a movie”, as claimed by the person. Ajxtt ended his post by linking an album from Imgur that shows gameplay and game time from the person who got the early copy.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows isn’t set to release until March 20, 2025. As such, Reddit users have been wondering how this person has obtained their copies. Some of them think that the copy might be stolen. However, Assassin’s Creed Shadows wasn’t the only game that was leaked like this. For example, Kingdom Hearts III has suffered the same fate as well as Grand Theft Auto 6.
