Bug Fixes

Doomfist (Overwatch Classic – Moth Meta)

  • Adjusted Seismic Slam’s ground checks and the shockwave hitbox to the older values.
  • In Overwatch Classic, air time for Uppercut was adjusted to the original value. Loss of air control duration is set to the original 3 seconds instead of 0.6 seconds.
  • In Overwatch Classic, Meteor Strike no longer can cancel Seismic Slam and Uppercut.
  • In Overwatch Classic, Rocket Punch no longer can cancel Seismic Slam and Uppercut.

“We’ve applied multiple adjustments to retune Doomfist to be closer to his original balance from the original September 2017 balance for both gameplay and feel. We are looking to apply additional bug fixes next week to address other issues reported,” the developers commented.

These updates to the game mode occur as needed, typically releasing every few months.

Overwatch Classic utilizes the original 6v6 format, therefore runs on a completely different balancing system from the core Overwatch 2 gameplay. The notes here are therefore only prevalent for the Classic Game Mode.

Moth Meta refers to Mercy’s instant revive mechanic, which refreshes with her ult cooldown. This mechanic broke the game, dominating competitive metas. Blizzard removed it in 2018, later restoring it for the Classic Game Mode.
