Grow a Garden on Roblox Breaks Fortnite’s Concurrent Player Record

Online Roblox game Grow a Garden hit a new record of 16.4 million concurrent players on June 14, 2025, just a month after it broke Roblox’s in-house all-time peak of 5 million concurrent players in a single game on May 17, 2025.
With a peak of 16,411,769 concurrent players, estimated by RoMonitor Stats, Grow a Garden surpassed Fortnite’s once-seemingly unattainable record of 15.3 million concurrent users, which the game reached during the pandemic on Dec. 2, 2020.
This achievement by the Roblox farming simulator title far surpasses the combined all-time peaks of concurrent players for the top five titles on Steam, which are, at the time of writing, according to SteamDB: PUBG: Battlegrounds with 3,257,248 peak concurrent players; Black Myth: Wukong with 2,415,714; Palworld with 2,101,867; Counter-Strike 2 with 1,862,531; and Monster Hunter Wilds with 1,384,608, totaling 11,021,968.
Grow a Garden’s gameplay offers players all the core mechanics of virtual gardening, such as planting seeds, growing crops and breeding different animals. One of the game’s major features, which became its slogan, is that the player’s garden “Grows Offline,” even when they are out of the game, motivating users to return and see what has evolved during their absence.
Launched on March 26, 2025, Grow a Garden is playable on all platforms where Roblox operates, including both Android and iOS smartphones, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S both macOS and Windows PCs, Meta Quest VR, as well as multiple PC VR headsets, such as the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
As of June 19, 2025, according to RoMonitor Stats, Grow a Garden has received 8.65 billion visits. The record-breaking Roblox title generates revenue from the sale of in-game items that can be purchased with either the game’s own currency, Sheckles, or Roblox’s currency, Robux.
