Honkai: Star Rail will receive an Enhanced Mode for some characters, new story features and more in upcoming updates, according to a new episode of Developer Radio, Version 3.4 Special Edition, published on HoYoLAB.

In version 3.4, Silver Wolf, Blade, Kafka and Jingliu will receive adjustments to their abilities as part of the Enhanced Mode, which will be enabled by default.

As for new story features, version 3.4 will introduce Dialogue Skip and Story Summary. With the arrival of Dialogue Skip, characters’ conversations will be segmented into small parts, allowing players to skip by paragraph. The feature is slated for Trailblaze Missions, Trailblaze Continuances, Companion Missions and Adventure Missions and won’t appear in cutscenes or exploration gameplay. The Story Summary option will provide a key event overview with highlights of major characters that appeared in the skipped segment and will launch for the Amphoreus, Jarilo-VI and Herta Space Station worlds, with the rest set for release in version 3.6.

On top of that, a Story Recap feature is planned for release in Honkai: Star Rail’s version 3.6. It will provide an opportunity to re-experience already completed Trailblaze Missions, Trailblaze Continuances and Companion Missions, with an option to choose specific cutscenes or cinematics. It will also allow players to try different dialogue choices, except for the story combat and exploration experience, which cannot be rewound.

On top of that, Honkai: Star Rail’s devs also hinted at an upcoming version 3.5 Scholar Wubbie assistant, who will offer personalized optimization tips like identifying promising Relics hidden in the inventory or suggesting what type of Relics to farm next. It will be launched in beta mode and available via Hoyolab.

As of the time of writing, Honkai: Star Rail features version 3.3, titled The Fall at Dawn’s Rise, which brought a Contract Shop update.

Honkai: Star Rail is a free-to-play role-playing gacha video game developed and published by Mihoyo/Hoyoverse on April 26, 2023, for iOS and Android smartphones, as well as for Windows PC. Also, the game was ported to PlayStation 5 on Oct. 11, 2023. The fourth installment in the Honkai series features some characters from Honkai Impact 3rd and several gameplay elements from Genshin Impact.

The game allows players to assume the role of the character referred to as the Trailblazer, who resolves disasters caused by Stellarons and other third parties while traveling across the universe through the Astral Express to help and connect the worlds.

As of June 2025, Honkai: Star Rail has surpassed $2 billion in mobile revenue within its first two years.
