Genshin Impact Version 5.6 Introduces Escoffier and Ifa as Playable Characters

- Genshin Impact Version 5.6 releases on May 7 – and will debut two new playable characters.

Ifa and Escoffier release on May 7 – the date when Genshin Impact Version 5.6 debuts. Escoffier is a five star Cryo character, while Ifa is a 4-star Anemo character. Ifa will be available as a featured 4-star character for both phrase 1 banners.

Version 5.6 adds a new Archon Quest to the game – titled “Paralogism,” this chapter serves as the interlude for Mondstadt. According to the teaser trailer, it appears players will be interacting learning more about Alice. The following in-game events are planned for Genshin Impact Version 5.6:
- Whirling Waltz
- Operation Downpour Simulation
- Legends Ablaze: Cross-Border Brawl
- Chronicle of Shifting Stratagems
- Ley Line Overflow
Two new bosses are being added – one is named “Secret Source Autmaton: Overseer Device” and can be found in the overworld. As for the other new boss, it seems to be a weekly boss with two different phases – set in two unique locations.
The following Quality of Life updates and optimizations are being implemented during version 5.6, as according to sportskeeda:
- The Brilliant Blessings details page has been added for elemental reactions in the Imaginarium Theater game mode.
- Additional rewards added for completing Stella, with players gaining Sanctifying Elixir, Transient Resin, and Sanctifying Elixir for completing 3/6/9 Stella.
- A restart button has been added for the final act in the Imaginarium Theater.
- Descriptions of new characters’ talents and constellations will be optimized for greater conciseness.
- Treasure Compass can now spot Natlan’s Warrior Challenges and Tribal Secret Spaces. Moreover, at a higher exploration rate, players can also spot Mora chests with the compass in all nations.
- Map pins have been optimized, and players will be able to delete custom pins in a batch from version 5.6.
