Microsoft Raises Prices on Xbox Consoles, Games and Controllers Worldwide

Microsoft has raised the prices of Xbox consoles and controllers worldwide. Besides that, starting from the 2025th Holiday season, several new Xbox games will see a price increase to $79.99.

As The Game Business outlet reports, the most significant price increase is happening in the US, where the Xbox Series X jumps to $599.99 from $499.99, and the base Series S model sees an $80 growth to $429.99. Xbox Wireless Headset also rises from $109.99 to $119.99 while the Xbox Stereo Headset price of $64.99 remains unchanged.

In Europe, the Series X console increases by €50 to €599.99, and the base Series S model rises by €50 to €349.99. In the UK, the Series X goes up by £20 to £499.99, while the base Series S becomes £50 more expensive at £299.99.

Notably, the increase in game pricing does not impact already announced upcoming Xbox titles, including Doom: The Dark Ages.

The news about the price increase in Xbox hardware and games comes along with the release of Microsoft’s earnings report for the third quarter of the fiscal year of 2025, which shows that the Xbox content and services revenue is 8% up in comparison with the previous year.
