- Microsoft is reportedly creating at least three new controllers for Xbox.
- One of them is the Xbox Elite 3, featuring better connection and feedback.
- Another controller is currently codenamed “Sebile,” which will supposedly be a mid-range product.
Microsoft is reportedly creating three new Xbox controllers – one of which is the Xbox Elite 3, the successor to the Xbox Elite controller series. The news was leaked by Jez Corden during his Xbox Two podcast – Jez Corden is an executive editor at Windows Central, a resource used by users of the Microsoft ecosystem.
The three controllers are supposedly as follows:
- Xbox Elite 3: The new Xbox Elite 3 supposedly has better connection and feedback with adjustable triggers with haptic feedback for some games.
- Controller 2: Supposedly features LED and Status bar on the controller with better bluetooth connection with consoles and PCs – direct connection with xCloud reportedly mitigates latency.
- Controller Codename Sebile: Xbox Controller with supposed full Haptic Feedback – has an additional vibration that alerts players for controller issues with bad connection. Sebile reportedly has a button for switching between bluetooth and cloud options.
“This is something I share on a podcast, but it’s not necessarily something I’m willing to put into a report yet because I don’t have a huge amount of information on this stuff – so take it with a pinch of salt for now,” Corden shared. The three controllers are reportedly still in their prototype phase of development.
The Xbox Elite Series controllers are Microsoft’s luxury controller option, currently priced at $144.99 (USD) on the official Microsoft Store; this is discounted from the original $179.99 MSRP. These controllers are customizable, boasting adjustable thumbsticks, changeable rubberized grips, and interchangeable components.
