Brotherhood, a retro-style first-person shooter game developed by FatCatGames, is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S and the Nintendo Switch. The game is very reminiscent of classic 90s first-person shooter titles like Wolfenstein 3D, which actually inspired it.
According to the lead developer of Brotherhood, the game is their love letter to the shooters that they grew up playing. “We’ve shaped the full release based on community feedback, and we’re thrilled to finally share the complete experience with players around the world,” the lead said.
The press release mentioned the following as the game’s key features:
- 24 large, labyrinth-style levels across six distinct acts, including a brutal prison break, secret laboratories, scorching deserts, an ancient fortress, and more.
- Classic old-school FPS combat: fast movement, tight gunplay, medkit-based healing, ammo management, keycards, upgrades, and plenty of secrets.
- 20+ unique enemy types, each designed to pressure the player differently — from swarming melee fighters to ranged mutants.
- Mutagen abilities combined with a diverse arsenal to push through overwhelming odds.
- Significant improvements from demo and early community feedback, including refined gameplay flow, updated visuals, enhanced sound, and extensive polishing.
As of the writing of this article, Brotherhood is available for purchase for $10. The game has no multiplayer and does not require a powerful PC to run. The game is also FatCatGames’ debut title.
