On Nov. 15, 2025, XSEED Games announced on X that the Nintendo Switch Western release of Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack is going to be cancelled. The publisher mentioned that the problem came from the game not being able to comply with the “current platform guidelines.”
“We know how much you were anticipating the release of the Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack,” XSEED said in a statement. “Though we previously released entries in the Corpse Party series on console platforms and digital storefronts in the West, we were informed that the contents of several games in the Tetralogy pack did not comply with current platform guidelines.”
The publisher then continued saying that this meant that the tetralogy pack’s release in the West is going to be canceled, both physical and digital. However, XSEED added that it will still do its best to bring the upcoming Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion to the West.
Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion was announced back in 2023, with a release date slated for 2025. However, delays have plagued its development, eventually leading to its expected release date being in 2026.
With this announcement, the Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack is now only available in Japan. However, a fan in the replies of the XSEED announcement claimed that while the game is only available in Japan, it actually supports English language.
