Final Fantasy VII Rebirth received an update adding support for Nvidia’s DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation for PC. The update was launched on both the Epic Games Store and Steam. In addition, Square Enix announced that the DLSS Super Resolution has been upgraded to Nvidia’s newest transformer AI model.
“The visual experience has evolved once again. I hope you’ll give it a try and feel the difference yourself,” Square Enix studio head and game director Naoki Hamaguchi wrote in a social media post marketing the changes.
The 1.004 update also added bug fixes, but the exact bugs were not detailed in the official Steam blog post. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s last PC update was in March, more than six months ago.
The entire Final Fantasy VII Remake series is releasing on the Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Epic Games. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade arrives on Jan. 22, 2026. The exact date all the remakes will debut has not been disclosed, but the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for the Nintendo Switch 2 releases on Jan. 22, 2026, priced at $39.99.
