Rust Mobile’s closed beta was delayed by roughly a month, with the developers announcing the test period was delayed to December. The test is planned to last for around two weeks, but this is subject to change. The following regions will have access to the Rust Mobile closed beta test: North America, Asian, and Europe.
Though both Android and iOS are supported, iOS users must use the TestFlight app to access the test version of the game, while Android users can simply use the Google Play Store. To register, players must apply on the official website.
Around 30,000 players across all the regions are expected to participate, according to the initial Rust Mobile blog post. Cross-play with the PC version will not be supported. The testing selection considers region, device compatibility, and other application details. High-end phones will be given priority during the closed beta testing application.
To run the game, the minimum specs for Android require a Snapdragon 730, Dimensity 1000, Kirin 810 or higher. And for iOS, it requires iOS 15 or above and A14 Bionic or newer. The game requires 20 GB of free space and 6 GB RAM.
The original Rust game is an open-world survival PvP game for PC. Developed by Facepunch Studios, the title saw 20 million cumulative copies sold on Steam. The mobile version is being developed by Level infintie, and is officially licensed by Facepunch Studios.
