Destiny 2: Renegades trailer teased the upcoming weapons for the expansion. Various new exotic equipment were revealed as well, with Bungie stating each class will receive one Exotic armor piece and two Exotic weapons. The trailer was published on Nov. 4, showcasing snippets of gameplay of the various weapons. 

Destiny 2: Renegades | New Weapons and Gear Trailer

The following equipment are being added and had previews in the trailer: 

  • Uncivil Discourse – Arc Hand Cannon 
  • Modified B-7 Pistol – Stasis Hand Cannon
  • All or Nothing – Strand Pulse Rifle
  • Refurbished A499 – Heavy Sniper Rifle
  • M-17 Fast Talker – Submachine Gun
  • Compact defender – Void Sidearm
  • Fortune’s Favor Hunter – Exotic Leg Armor
  • Praxic Vestment Titan – Exotic Chest Armor
  • Deimosuffusion Warlock – Exotic Helmet 
  • Praxic Blade – Exotic Sword 
  • Heirloom Crossbow – Exotic Weapon

One of the highlights of the trailer was the showcase of the Praxic Blade Kinetic – Exotic Sword, Destiny 2’s version of a lightsaber. With the flick of their hand, the player character prompts a lightsaber to boomerang into their hands. The saber can reflect bullets, perform aerial attacks, alongside be thrown for a mid-ranged attack. Renegades is a Star Wars-themed expansion, scheduled to release on Dec. 2, 2025. 

Destiny 2 was originally published by Activision until, on December 31, 2018, Bungie acquired the publishing rights to the franchise. The first-person shooter serves as the sequel to 2014’s Destiny. Destiny’s mobile counterpart, Destiny: Rising, recently published a dev update communicating various future roadmaps and plans for the title.
