Han “Mulgold” Jae-gyun won Tekken 8’s SOOP Super Tournament 2025, defeating fellow Korean player and Evo champion Yoon “LowHigh” Sun-woong in a one-sided grand final where Mulgold brought out Fahkumram.
Both Mulgold and LowHigh started in the winner’s side of the top eight and met in the winner’s final, where LowHigh was able to beat him 3-1, sending Mulgold down to the loser’s bracket. There, he had to fight Lee “Edge” Ju-hyung, whom he also quickly dispatched with a 3-1 score.
Mulgold, earning his spot to challenge LowHigh once more in the grand final, opted to play Fahkumram, a character he doesn’t usually play in Tekken 8, as he mostly plays Claudio.
The choice caught LowHigh off guard and kept him off his game. Mulgold reset the grand finals bracket with a 3-0 set and closed the tournament with a 3-1 win.
The next major Tekken 8 tournament, Clash of the Olympians, will be in Athens, Greece and start on Nov. 15, 2025.
The tournament, just like SOOP Super Tournament 2025, is a master-tier tournament that is part of the Tekken World Tour 2025.
