Ghost of Yotei becomes Europe’s biggest PlayStation first-party launch since 2023

According to a report published by The Game Business on Oct. 15, 2025, Ghost of Yotei has debuted at second place in the Games Sales Data. The first place is still held by EA Sports FC 26, which has held the place for three consecutive weeks.

The Game Business also mentioned that Ghost of Yotei is PlayStation’s biggest first-party launch since the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in October 2023. However, it was still not enough to eclipse the football sports game powerhouse.

Here are top ten games in unit sales in Europe during the week ending in Oct. 5:

• Ghost of Yotei
• Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2
• Digimon Story: Time Stranger
• Doom Eternal
• Far Cry Primal
• Hogwarts Legacy
• Red Dead Redemption 2
• South Park: The Fractured But Whole
• Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles

The biggest winner here is South Park: The Fractured But Whole, as it had an increase of 13256% sales week-on-week. This is followed by Doom Eternal, which had an increase of 8610% and then Far Cry Primal, which saw an increase of 3060%.

Ghost of Yotei is also the second in terms of revenue in the same week, with the first one still being EA Sports FC 26.
