Valorant is set to receive a Replay System, according to the YouTuber Kanga, who recently demonstrated the new system’s functionality in his video, thanks to early access from the game’s developer.
The new feature will drop along with patch 11.06 sometime around Sept. 16, 2025, for PC players and sometime in November 2025 for console players.
The system, allowing players to rewatch only their own matches, will launch with a free cam mode and speed controls and will be available in multiple game modes.
Replay recordings will be tied to the specific game’s patch, which usually lasts about two to three weeks. Each time a new patch goes live, all existing replays from that patch will be deleted and can no longer be viewed.
Developed and published by Riot Games, Valorant was released on June 2, 2020, for Windows PC and then ported to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on Aug. 2, 2024, albeit without crossplay between PC and console clients.
The game won the title of “Best Esports Game” at The Game Awards 2022 and “Best Streaming Game” at the 2023 Golden Joystick Awards.
Valorant has an active esports scene, and the highest tier of its competition, called Valorant Champions, is hosted by the game’s developer itself. This annual professional Valorant world championship tournament is the culmination of each VCT season and the hardest tournament to qualify for. In 2025, Valorant Champions is planned to take place in Paris in autumn.
