- Daneil Drapeau left Haven Studios, where he served as the game director for Fairgames.
- He is now the creative director at Warner Bros. Montreal.
- As of writing, Drapeau has not revealed what game he is currently working on.
Fairgame$ game director Daniel Drapeau departed Haven Studios, where he had served as the game director for the title. Haven Studios is a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment, with Fairgames marketed as a multiplayer live-service game.
Drapeau announced the news via LinkedIn, where he celebrated his new role at Warner Bros Montreal, where he will serve as a creative director. The exact game he is working on has not been disclosed.
“I can’t wait to start this wonderful adventure with all the great people here at the studio,” he shared on social media. The creative director proceeded to thank a number of people for their trust and support throughout the hiring process.
This is not the first leader to leave the studio, as Jade Raymond, the founder of Haven Studios, departed in early May. Haven Studios is owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Fairgames was scheduled to launch in the fall of 2025, but was delayed to the spring of 2026; many other live-service PlayStation titles under other development studios have been axed—the original list included more than a dozen titles.
Haven has yet to release its first title, with Fairgames marketed as Haven Studio’s first release. The trailer for the title received mostly negative criticism, with 4.4 thousand likes and 61 thousand dislikes in its CGI reveal trailer, linked above. The game is planned to be a “competitive modern heist game” with extraction shooter elements.
Sony’s live service transformation has not been going as smoothly as the company would have liked, according to an earnings call on Aug. 7, 2025. Chief financial officer Lin Tao mentioned that both Concord’s shutdown and Marathon’s delay painted the move in a negative light. The departure of leaders within Sony’s acquired studios highlights the internal struggles as well.
