The ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally will reportedly be released on Oct. 16, 2025, according to reputable leaker Billbil-kun, who sources a product sheet that was mistakenly revealed by an official ASUS distributor in Spain. As for the preorder date, Billbil-kun claimed in late July that the hardware will become available to order on Aug. 20, the same date the units will be publicly presented at Gamescon 2025.
Prior to this leak, YouTuber eXtas1s made speculations that the console would be released in Oct. 2025; the leaked Oct. 16, 2025 release date is for the European market, with a simultaneous launch within other regions expected but not officially confirmed.
Leaks also revealed the price points for the consoles, but the prices were in euros; USD prices remain unavailable. The prices are supposedly 599 euros for the ROG Xbox Ally and 899 euros for the ROG Xbox Ally X.
The devices mark Xbox’s first official entry into the handheld PC space, with both hardware models running Windows 11 and running native Xbox and PC game support. The standard ROG Xbox Ally is powered by AMD’s Ryzen Z2 A chip, featuring 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage. As for the ROG Xbox Ally X, it wields the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip with 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of SSD storage.
