Team Spirit Demolishes Mouz Esports to Win CS2 IEM Cologne 2025

|
- Team Spirit won IEM Cologne 2025 with a solid 3-0 record.
- Mouz Esports have defeated the giants, Team Vitality, in the semi-finals of the tournament.
- This win cements Team Spirit’s claim as one of the best teams in Counter-Strike 2.
A surgical 3-0 coming from Team Spirit has dashed all of Mouz Esports’ hopes of winning Counter-Strike 2’s IEM Cologne 2025. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets took the player of the match award as he dished out the best numbers out of everyone in the server throughout the series.
Donk’s dominance in the server can never be overstated, as he ended the series with a 1.53 rating. The second closest was Myroslav ‘zont1x’ Plakhotia with a 1.13 rating. Mouz’s single-best performer was Ludvig ‘Brollan’ Brolin with a 1.08 rating, and the rest were less than 1. This tournament is also Ivan “zweih” Gogin’s big tournament debut, his first time playing in the big arena.
While Mouz Esports lost in the Grand Final clean, a narrative emerged during the tournament that the team had exhausted all its energy in beating Team Vitality during the semi-finals. Their win there spelled the end of Team Vitality’s win streak, which had reached 37.
Additionally, Valve has announced that Cologne will receive its first major for the first time since 2016. The event will start on June 2, 2026, and will end on June 21.
Team Spirit’s IEM Cologne 2025 win cements them as one of the best teams in the world. Their last big tournament win was PGL Astana 2025, against Astralis, where both Team Vitality and Team Falcons were not in attendance.
