Nintendo Is Changing Pricing for Original Nintendo Switch Family in US

Nintendo will change pricing for the original Nintendo Switch family and Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo in the US on Aug. 3, 2025.
According to an official statement from the company, the changes will affect the pricing of the original Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch OLED, Nintendo Switch Lite, select Nintendo Switch accessories, certain Nintendo Switch 2 accessories and the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo.
The company doesn’t clarify whether the prices are going up or down and doesn’t provide the exact reason for the change, citing only “based on market conditions” in the announcement.
The news comes the same day Nintendo officially revealed that the Nintendo Switch 2 has reached the milestone of 6 million units sold globally, and the original Nintendo Switch has sold 153.1 million units worldwide.
While the company officially confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 console, physical and digital games for both the original Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as Nintendo Switch Online memberships, will remain unchanged, it also highlighted that price adjustments could appear in the future for them.
