A new demo of Hollow Knight: Silksong will reportedly be playable on PC and the ROG Xbox Ally at the Xbox booth during Gamescom, scheduled for Aug. 20-24, 2025, in Cologne, Germany.
Developed and published by Australian independent developer Team Cherry, the sequel to 2017’s Hollow Knight is slated for release on Windows, Linux and macOS PCs and the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
In Hollow Knight: Silksong, players will be able to control Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, once more as she embarks on an adventure in a new kingdom filled with over 150 new foes, according to the title’s Steam page.
As of the time of writing, the first title in the series has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam with 380,298 reviews and an all-time peak of 20,324 players, according to SteamDB. As of February 2019, Team Cherry reported over 2.8 million copies of Hollow Knight sold across all platforms.
