Key points
  1. Riot Games unveiled Vi as 2XKO’s newest champion and announced its closed beta date.
  2. The closed beta starts on Sept. 9 and will be available globally.
  3. 2XKO will also be available at Evo Vegas.

On July 22, Riot Games published a video on X showcasing 2XKO’s newest champion: Vi. Additionally, the developers announced that the game will be playable at Evo Vegas and will begin its closed beta on Sept. 9.

In a press release, the developers announced their intention to keep the game online as much as possible after its closed beta period starts. They also clarified that the beta will only be available on PC but will be available on consoles in the future.

Vi Gameplay Reveal Trailer | 2XKO

Players who were able to play the game during the Alpha Lab 1 or 2 will have access to the game’s closed beta. Those who haven’t will need to visit the game’s website and sign up using their Riot Account. After that, it’s a waiting game whether they get invited or not.

Considering that this is probably a slow rollout to the game’s eventual full release, a large number of players will be invited to the game as it continues its closed beta progress. It’s also worth noting that the closed beta is going to be available globally.

Riot Games also released Vi’s gameplay reveal trailer alongside the closed beta announcement. Out of all the champions in League of Legends, Vi is probably the most obvious choice to be included in the fighting game due to her being a fighter who uses her fists.

Lastly, 2XKO will be available at Evo Vegas, which happens from Aug. 1 until Aug. 3. Evo is a fighting game event where the best players from all over the world compete against each other in their respective fighting games. 2XKO has been available in multiple Evos now.
