2XKO’s Next Alpha Lab Playtest Happens This April

|
- 2XKO’s next Alpha Lab playtest starts on April 18 and ends on April 20.
- The playtest is much smaller this time, only being available in the United States, Canada, and Brazil.
- 2XKO is slated for release this year.
In a post published on March 27, 2XKO developers revealed that the next playtest for the game starts on April 18 and ends on April 20. It will only be playable in the United States, Canada, and Brazil.
2XKO’s official social media accounts published a video detailing the changes they have made to the game in the past six months. The video also included the date of the much-awaited Alpha-Lab playtest, and according to the developers, it will be playable from April 18 until April 20.
When asked why the playtest is much shorter than the previous one in August 2024, a developer replied that the Alpha Lab 2 is all about checking if the gameplay changes they implemented work for the players. Once that’s done, they’re going back to focusing on developing the game until it’s ready for launch.
Alpha Lab 2 was supposed to be the global playtest for 2XKO, but the game director called it off in February. He published a long Twitter post about the cancellation and talked about a few changes they made to Fuses.
The playtest will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game features cross-play between consoles as long as they are in the same region. According to Riot Games, they’re planning on implementing cross-region play, but it’s not going to be available during the Alpha Lab.
2XKO is an upcoming free-to-play fighting game slated for release in 2025. It was previously called Project L.
