Umamusume: Pretty Derby Global Version Finally Releases One of the Game’s Strongest Support Cards

- Umamusume: Pretty Derby’s latest support card banner contains one of the best cards for the coming years.
- Japanese players have been encouraging global players to get her, if possible.
- New trainees have also arrived in the game as part of the update.
On July 16, 2025, Cygames finally released the Kitasan Black speed support card, which is widely considered one of the best support cards in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. The skill it provides can be used by all trainees, which makes it a highly sought-after support card.
Japanese players of Umamusume: Pretty Derby have been publishing encouragement posts for global players of the game and are singing praises for the card. They mentioned that the card will still be relevant even after four years.
The Japanese players have this knowledge, as the game has already been out in the country since 2021. This means that their version of the game is four years advanced compared to the global version, which was just released recently.
In a wholesome turn of events, players who have been lucky or who have spent a lot of money to guarantee five pulls of the card are sharing their IDs on X in order to help those who did not get them. Umamusume allows players to use one card of a person they followed to round up the support deck they will be using to train their Umamusume.
A huge caveat to this is that, according to Gametora, a Kitasan Black card is not worth it unless she’s uncapped three or four times. This means that the player will have to get her from the gacha multiple times by either getting lucky or spending quite a bit of money.
Aside from the support card, the new trainee banner has also arrived in the game. It features both Mejiro McQueen and Tokai Teio wearing their exclusive outfits in the second season of the anime.
