After the Ghost of Yotei gameplay deep dive, Sony revealed two variants of the PlayStation 5 based off the upcoming game. Both share design languages, showcasing brush strokes forming mountain across the PlayStation 5, inspired by the Japanese art form Kintsugi. The Ghost of Yotei limited edition PlayStation 5 consoles and controllers release on Oct. 2, 2025.
Between the two variants, the only difference is in color, with one using gold brush strokes and the other black. The bundle comes with a limited edition console cover and limited edition DualSense wireless controller; they do not come with the game. As of writing, preorder for the bundles are not yet available, but is slated to come soon, according to the official store page.
Ghost of Yotei is a PlayStation 5 exclusive slated to release on Oct. 2, 2025. The game is a sequel to the previously critically acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima, which saw over 13 million copies sold. The prequel released in 2020 for PlayStation and PC; the PC port was released several years after the initial PlayStation launch.
