The original GameCube version of Super Mario Strikers is now available to play on the Nintendo Switch 2. Included within the GameCube catalog, made accessible for Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion pack members, Super Mario Strikers’ inclusion in the catalog was announced on July 3, 2025, via Nintendo’s official social media account.
Other games included in the catalog are The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, F-Zero GX and Soulcalibur II, which were added in early June. All the GameCube titles are not availble on the predecessor console.
Purchasing the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, which costs $49.99, grants access to all the prior perks alongside N64, GBA, Sega Genesis and GameCube games. The expansion subscription also provides subscribers with DLCs for select titles, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
The Nintendo Switch 2 launched on June 5, 2025. The console was one of the most anticipated gaming devices in the past couple of years, largely thanks to the major success of its predecessor, the Nintendo Switch 1.
