Fortnite developers have seemingly extended the duration of the Blitz Royale game mode to August 12. The game mode was added to Fortnite on June 17 and had an original end date of July 15 before it was changed.
The adjustment was first spotted by a leaker named FNAssist, and was corroborated by other leakers by posting the possible themes of the added weeks in Blitz Royale’s lifespan. According to ShiinaBR, a prominent Fortnite leaker, the three themes are:
- Dragon Ball
- Jujutsu Kaisen
- Mortal Kombat
Blitz Royale is a game mode that’s much quicker than the normal battle royale mode. It was developed with mobile users in mind due to how short the matches are. Each game lasts just 5 minutes, and all players start with the same medallion or unique weapon. As the game progresses, players are granted blitz levels, which will give them even more items. This greatly speeds up the pace of the match.
Recently, Bruno Mars has replaced Sabrina Carpenter just as Fortnite’s ninth season happened on June 18. With his addition to the game, new skins and Jam Tracks related to the artist are now available until the end of Season 9.
As for other collaborations, Fortnite recently uploaded a video showing it teaming up with Squid Game to deliver experiences similar to the show into the game.
