- Lies of P has sold more than 3 million copies since its release.
- The game was well-received by critics during its launch.
- Lies of P is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 4 and 5.
On June 20, Neowiz announced that Lies of P, a Soulslike game it developed and published, has sold more than 3 million copies. The game was co-developed by Round8 Studios, a Neowiz subsidiary. The developers published a post on X acknowledging the feat and thanking the fans.
Early this month, the developers shadow-dropped a DLC called Lies of P: Overture during the Summer Game Fest, giving a reason for players to return to the city of Krat. But it seems that players are having a hard time with it, to the point where game director Ji Won Choi said that the team is going to lower combat difficulty in a future update.
The game was loosely based on Carlo Collodi’s The Adventures of Pinocchio and also received inspiration from the Belle Époque period, which translates to “The Beautiful Era.” As the name suggests, it was a period characterized by optimism, romanticism and innovation.
Lies of P was released back in September 2023 for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 4 and 5. It was received favorably by critics and even won awards at Gamescom 2022.
