Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Reveals Shallot as Its Newest DLC Character

On June 17, Bandai Namco released a trailer revealing Shallot as Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero’s next DLC character. Shallot is an original character from Dragon Ball Legends, a mobile game that uses the same IP, and has never appeared in the anime or the manga.
Shallot’s popularity in Dragon Ball Legends has landed him an appearance in another Dragon Ball game called Dragon Ball Heroes, a trading card game.
His addition to Sparking Zero seems to be met with positive feedback from players, especially those who knew his origins. Comments on the trailer have players saying they are happy for Shallot to finally enter a much more mainstream game, rather than the ones that he was in.
Bandai Namco announced that his addition to the roster will happen on June 26. Additionally, players can also play Shallot three days early for those who have early access.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero was released on Oct. 11, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game received generally favorable reviews from critics and was nominated for the “Best Fighting Game” award at the Game Awards 2024.
