- Players are currently review-bombing Borderlands 2.
- The game was released back in 2012.
Borderlands 2 is currently free on Steam until June 8, 2025, for fans of the franchise who still don’t have the game on Steam. Additionally, Borderlands 3 is also heavily discounted, with Steam slashing 95% of its price, putting it down to $3.
Both of the games are included in the Steam Borderlands Franchise sale, which includes every Borderlands game in the marketplace. Spin-off games Tales of the Borderlands and New Tales from the Borderlands also received significant discounts.
Despite Borderlands 2 being free, it is currently being review-bombed by players. According to them, Take-Two and 2K Games have updated their End-User License Agreement, turning games published and created by them into “literal spyware.” This resulted in the game currently having an “Overwhelmingly Negative” recent review on Steam.
The developers have not commented regarding the review-bombing that is currently happening to their games. It’s also worth noting that the “spyware” allegations have been around since last month, coming from a YouTube video by someone called Hellfire.
Borderlands 2 was released back in 2012 and has been ported to a variety of consoles, including the PlayStation Vita and the Nvidia Shield Tablet. Borderlands 3, on the other hand, was released in 2019 and is also available on a lot of consoles.
