Ubisoft has announced that players will be able to test out Rainbow Six Siege X starting May 20, 2025 and outlined all of the updates players can expect throughout 2025.

Ahead of the launch on June 10, 2025, Ubisoft is adding a new 6v6 mode called Dual Front to Rainbow Six Siege X, updating several maps, and improving player onboarding.

Additionally, Ubisoft teased a second season called Operation Daybreak. It redesigns the Defender Operator named Clash, who can now deploy her CCE Shield MK2 and activate its taser remotely. Operation Daybreak also introduces other balancing updates to the game, such as reduced limb damage, adjustments to the abilities of Blackbeard, Jackal, Jäger, Thunderbird, and Sledge and electricity now slowing Operators rather than damaging them.

Looking ahead to the seasons beyond Operation Daybreak in 2025, the Siege X team shared that Season 3 will introduce three more modernized maps: Nighthaven, Lair, and Consulate. There will also be changes to assignments in Dual Front, which will connect to the story of a new Operator. This new Defender, who comes from Switzerland, will bring a brand-new weapon to the game. Besides that, a return of Halloween event is also planned.

Season 4 will celebrate the 10th anniversary of Rainbow Six Siege with a special in-game event. It will include a remaster of an existing Attacker and introduce a new weapon that, for the first time, will be usable by multiple Operators, initially through the battle pass and later available to all players. Two additional modernized maps, Theme Park and Skyscraper, are coming in Season 4, along with a full rework of a third map. On top of that a new playlist called Testing Grounds will be launched to experiment with new ideas and gather player feedback.
