Syberia Remastered is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2025, according to an official announcement from the game’s developer, Microids Studio.
The renewed version of the classic point-and-click adventure in the clockpunk universe will land on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The remastered version of Syberia is being developed by Microids Studio Paris in collaboration with Studio Virtuallyz. Besides the remake of the visuals, puzzles will also be tweaked, along with updated UI and controls.
According to the announcement, Syberia’s characters are fully redesigned. On top of that, every environment and location in the game has received enhanced 3D visuals.
The developer’s announcement also hints that the game is set to include voiceovers in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian and Polish.
The original Syberia (2002) was developed and published by Microids and released for PC, both Windows and macOS, PlayStation 2 and 3, the very first Xbox, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, as well as Windows Mobile, Android and iOS smartphones.
Created and designed by Belgian artist Benoît Sokal, Syberia is set in the same world as Sokal’s 1999 video game Amerzone. Syberia follows Kate Walker, an American lawyer tasked with overseeing the major sale of a company, which takes her on a journey across Europe and Russia to find the brother of the recently deceased owner.
Besides Amerzone and the initial Syberia title, the franchise also includes Syberia II (2004), Syberia 3 (2017) and Syberia: The World Before (2022), which is dedicated to the memory of Sokal.
