The developers of Fantasy Life i announced on X that the game is finally available in Early Access for Xbox Series X|S users after it was slightly delayed. Previously, the developers mentioned that there was a technical issue on Xbox’s end that prevented the game’s launch on the console.

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to everyone who has been waiting. We are currently discussing possible compensation for the delay and will share further details once they are finalized,” the post mentioned.

Fantasy Life i is the sequel to Fantasy Life, which was released in 2012 in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS. It was only two years later that the game was finally available worldwide. Nobuo Uematsu, the composer behind Final Fantasy’s early hits, was the game’s composer.

Both Fantasy Life titles are life simulator games where players choose from any of the 12 jobs in the game. Players are given missions based on their job, which is the main gameplay loop.

Fantasy Life i is set to release on May 21, 2025; however, the developers have released it in Early Access for those who purchased the deluxe edition. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A Switch 2 version will follow.
