The games’ developer, GSC Game World, has announced that all existing owners of the Stalker: Legends of the Zone collection will be able to get remastered versions of the games for free.
GSC Game World also highlighted that saved data will be specific to the platform, as there will be no supported cross-saves between PCs and consoles.
According to the developer, Stalker: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition won’t feature physical copies for distribution.
The new current-gen version of the remasters includes better lighting with godrays, screen space reflections, upscaled textures and environments, advanced shaders and cutscenes that have been pre-rendered in 4K.
Playing on PS5, PS5 Pro or Xbox Series X consoles, players can select between four graphics modes: Quality, Balanced, Performance and Ultra Performance. The first three are all set at a 4K resolution, with the frame rate caps being the only variable, featuring 30fps in Quality, 40fps in Balanced and 60fps in Performance. Ultra Performance sets the resolution down to 2K but delivers 120fps.
