An official Integration Studio was released by Saber Interactive to embrace mod support for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
The announcement was made by Space Marine 2 game director Dmitry Grigorenko on May 10, 2025, via Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2’s Modding Hub Discord. Grigorenko stated that it is the exact same editor title devs use internally for the entire gameplay creation.
“No more editing files in Notepad and praying you didn’t miss a bracket — Integration Studio makes editing anything SSL-related ten times faster, safer, and more intuitive,” promised Dmitry in his statement.
While this is just the initial version of the Integration Studio for modders, Grigorenko highlighted that it already offers players the ability to tweak a wide range of game elements, including level scenarios, mods, gameplay logic, AI behavior, the AI Director, combo systems, visual effects, and both the UI and HUD. He even showcased a piece of MS Paint-style concept art for a quirky “Fishing With Daddy Calgar” minigame.

Notably, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, developed by Saber St. Petersburg and published by Focus Entertainment on September 9, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S, is a sequel to the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 which is now in development as the publisher announced earlier this year.
As of May 2025, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has sold over 5 million copies worldwide.
