Rockstar has officially revealed the new second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, which is set to release on May 26, 2026.
The new trailer reveals the name of the male protagonist, Jason Duval, who is the partner of Lucia Caminos, who was first introduced in the initial trailer. Vice City is once again confirmed as the primary setting, along with the return of Ammu-Nation, the iconic gun shop chain from the Grand Theft Auto universe.
The reveal is coming on the heels of the game’s first trailer reaching 250 million views, over 12 million likes and over 1 million comments. Notably, the game’s launch date rescheduling from the initial window of autumn 2025 happened just four days ago.
As of February 2025, the predecessor of GTA VI and the fifth numbered part of the series has sold over 210 million copies worldwide, making it the second best-selling video game of all time, behind only Minecraft, which has sold 350 million units.
