According to the developer’s statement, released globally on April 11, 2023, for Android and iOS devices, Monopoly Go! has become the fastest mobile game in history to hit such a milestone.
Scopely outlined in its celebratory statement that player spending in Monopoly Go! has exceeded the combined revenue from two of recent pop culture’s biggest events, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and the Barbenheimer box office phenomenon.
The game’s developer also stated that the title’s global player base spans over 100 countries, and to date, Monopoly Go! has facilitated over 500 million in-game friend connections and 450 million player invites.
