Monopoly GO! Announces Collaboration with Star Wars Next Month

On April 17, Monopoly GO! announced its collaboration with Star Wars, set to take place from May 1 to July 2. The collaboration will add iconic characters from the sci-fi franchise to Monopoly GO! through sticker albums and take players to different Star Wars locations during minigames.
According to the blog post dedicated to the Star Wars event, Monopoly GO! Players can get sticker sets of R2-D2, C-3PO, and BB-8. Other Star Wars characters, such as Master Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Han Solo, among many others, are also a part of the event.
Monopoly GO! Minigames are also receiving a makeover during the event, as they will now transport players to famous Star Wars locations. Planet Tatooine and Mos Espa Grand Arena are two of the ones listed in the blog post.
Additionally, players can also earn Star Wars-themed Tokens, Shields, Emojis, and more during the event. The developers advised players to monitor the game’s social media channels to be able to redeem these rewards.
Last month, Gaming.News reported that Scopely–the developers of Monopoly GO!–acquired Niantic’s gaming division. This acquisition also includes several games like Pokémon Go, Monster Hunter Now, and Pikmin Bloom.
